The vacuum plating of the color PVD film layer helps to improve the corrosion resistance of the substrate surface, but cannot completely prevent the substrate from being corroded. 316L stainless steel plate is an alloy metal steel. According to the test, 316L stainless steel plate has excellent corrosion resistance, especially pitting corrosion resistance due to the addition of Mo; high temperature strength is also very good; excellent work hardening (weak magnetism after processing); solid solution state is non-magnetic. 304 stainless steel plate contains much less carbon than 304. 304L is better than 304 in anti-pitting corrosion on solder joints or other treatments. Therefore, the good corrosion resistance of the substrate itself is the key to maintaining the PVD film layer for a long time. 304 stainless steel plate contains much less carbon than 304. 304L is better than 304 in anti-pitting corrosion on solder joints or other treatments. Stainless steel material is the best choice for electroplating color PVD coating on stainless steel surface because of its excellent corrosion resistance.
Precautions before vacuum plating
All stainless steel products to be vacuum electroplated with PVD films must be cleaned in advance.
1. 304 stainless steel plate is easy to clean as long as the protective film, surface glue and impurities are removed due to the uniform surface thickness; in addition, some plates are too long to be placed, and the protective film deteriorates, which makes it difficult to remove the subsequent surface glue and affect the surface cleaning.
2. The cleaning and cleaning of stainless steel parts are relatively complicated. In addition to the obvious surface to be cleaned, polishing wax, glue, rust, dust and welding impurities are also required in some non-obvious gaps such as welding, flanging, and corners in some enterprises. Use detergent to remove slag, etc., otherwise students can easily cause discoloration. For the stainless steel parts to be plated, the biggest CDM issues and substances from China that are difficult to remove effectively, such as polishing wax, salt, rosin, sand, wood, glue, plastic, etc., are hidden in the stainless steel tube and invisible. These social substances can seriously affect the quality of research vacuum coatings, resulting in anomalous or gradual color declines in different colors. Therefore, stainless steel component manufacturers should avoid hiding the above-mentioned experimental materials in the components in the design of the manufacturing process and cannot directly remove them, so as not to affect the quality of our subsequent vacuum plating 304 stainless steel plate coatings.
